Commissions

Architecture & The Built Environment

We partner with architecture firms, real estate developers, and corporate entities to document their projects with an artistic narrative. Roman’s approach moves beyond standard real estate photography, focusing instead on the tension between light, shadow, and geometry.

Portraiture

For those seeking more than a standard headshot. Roman Russo’s portrait commissions are designed for individuals who require a high-end, editorial aesthetic. Utilizing high-contrast lighting and a cinematic approach, these sessions are collaborative artistic endeavors. Whether you are an individual capturing a milestone moment, or a model building a professional portfolio, Roman provides expert creative direction to translate your vision into a work of art.

Commission FAQ - General Logistics

  • Yes. Although based in Scottsdale, AZ, Roman accepts commissions worldwide. Please contact us to check his current travel itinerary. Should your project require dedicated travel arrangements, expenses will be outlined in the proposal.

  • We view every commission as a true partnership. Because the final aesthetic—the specific 'look'—is achieved through Roman’s signature editing workflow, we do not release unedited RAW files. Instead, we collaborate closely with you upfront to define the vision, tones, and mood, ensuring the finished images perfectly align with your shared goals.

  • To ensure availability and proper pre-production planning, we recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance. If you have an urgent project with a tighter deadline, please reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Commission FAQ - For Architectural & Commercial Clients

  • Commercial commissions are quoted on a per project basis and we work with clients to determine appropriate fees. Please submit an inquiry for a custom estimate.

  • For exterior architectural work, the envisioned lighting and weather are everything. We work with the client to determine the optimal time of year for the vision they are looking to achieve. If conditions are not conducive, we will reschedule to the nearest available date.

  • Commercial proposals are negotiable and will include broad usage rights for the client’s marketing (website, social media, collateral). The specifics will be discussed and outlined in the proposal.

Commission FAQ - Portrait Clients

  • The pricing for portrait commissions is quoted based on the scope of the project. Please submit an inquiry for a custom estimate.

  • Absolutely. Our editorial sessions are specifically designed to build high-end portfolios. The license provided allows for self-promotion (website, social media, composite cards, and agency use).

  • We focus exclusively on photography and doe not provide in-house hair and makeup services. However, we are happy to recommend trusted stylists in your area whenever possible.
