Bookmatched was captured in the Italian Dolomites at Lago di Braies during the early morning hours, just as the sun crested the mountaintop and the lake remained completely still. The mountain and its reflection align with near-perfect symmetry, offering a precise mirror of the surrounding landscape and shoreline.
Much like a bookmatched slab of marble, the seam along the reflection line creates subtle variations and visual tension, recalling the mineral textures and natural irregularities found in stone. From the eroding hillside and verdant trees to the dusty shoreline, the reflection reveals layered detail while maintaining a quiet sense of balance.

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery after payment is received. We take great care in the packaging and shipping of your fine art print. The customer pays for all shipping costs. All sales are final; Roman Russo does not accept refunds, returns, or exchanges. We are unable to make changes or cancellations to an order more than 24 hours after it is placed.
If your artwork arrives with any damage, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
