After a treacherous downpour the previous evening, I was thrilled to set out for the Milano Duomo under a clear sky. As I sauntered about in search of my next frame, I found myself continually dodging the rain-soaked ground and puddles of varying sizes that interrupted my path.

While photographing what would later become "Front and Center", I became aware of reflections forming on the ground and paused to explore them more intentionally. Eventually, one puddle in particular held my attention. Within its surface, a layered reflection emerged, revealing the carved figures and architectural details of the Duomo, quietly mirrored back in a stratified composition.

Composing an image through reflection presents its own challenges, requiring careful balance between the reflected subject and the surrounding environment. In this case, elements of the Duomo’s temporary fencing serve as a visual anchor, grounding the lower edge of the frame while keeping the reflection as the focal point.

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks for delivery after payment is received. We take great care in the packaging and shipping of your fine art print. The customer pays for all shipping costs. All sales are final; Roman Russo does not accept refunds, returns, or exchanges. We are unable to make changes or cancellations to an order more than 24 hours after it is placed.

If your artwork arrives with any damage, please reach out to us as soon as possible.
